Harold Hill Mosque Purchase
Essex Cultural & Youth Society has exchanged contracts on 9th April 2026 to purchase The Petersfield Centre on Petersfield Avenue, RM3 9PB. The building is of a tremendous size, located in the heart of Harold Hill, between two Churches, opposite a large row of shops, and next to Central Park. It is only a couple of minutes’ drive away from the Gardens of Peace Muslim Cemetery in Harold Wood, the A12, M25 Junction 28, the A127, and Hildene Shopping Centre.
Alhamdulillah, after 14 years of serving the fast-growing Muslim community in Harold Hill and surrounding towns, using many different hired venues, Allah Ta’ala has finally given us this amazing golden opportunity to have our own Mosque and Islamic Centre. The building was previously used by the NHS as a large Health Clinic, and has over 30 rooms inside, car parking for over 30 cars, and full disabled access.
The purchase price for the new Harold Hill Mosque is £1,900,000, and we need to complete this transaction within 6 months, by the 9th October 2026. We have divided the total purchase price into 1000 Shares to split this goal into bite-sized portions, with each Share costing £1,900. We request everyone to purchase as many Mosque Shares as possible so we can meet our target. Every donation will be a Sadaqah Jaariyah, bringing continuous rewards even after our death. If we purchase on behalf of our deceased family members, they too will continue to receive continuous rewards of this magnificent project to build the first House of Allah in Harold Hill.
